About me :
I am a seasoned maritime professional with 20+ years of experience in the maritime industry, including 10 years sailing onboard vessels.
My career has allowed me to gain hands-on experience in various roles, from deck officer positions to senior leadership roles. During my time at sea, I had the opportunity to work on a wide range of vessels, including tankers, offshore vessels, drill ships, and drilling rigs, gaining extensive hands-on experience in diverse maritime operations.
I started my career at sea in 2004 as a Deck Officer and progressively advanced to the rank of Chief Mate, sailing until 2013, when I made the transition from onboard roles to onshore responsibilities. I began this new phase in Brazil, where I was actively involved in maritime training and development, supporting the growth of professionals entering the industry. Later, I held the position of Marine Department Director in Angola, where I led teams and managed operations with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and performance. Currently, I am based in Dubai, working as a Compliance Manager for a shipping company, ensuring adherence to international standards and local regulations.
With a leadership approach that emphasizes safety, collaboration, and operational efficiency, I’ve successfully led teams and managed complex maritime projects while ensuring full compliance with international regulations.
My career has been driven by a commitment to continuous learning and development, and I am dedicated to sharing my insights and experiences to help others excel in the maritime field.
